THE APPLICATION OF SINGULAR VALUES FOR THE ESTIMATION OF CHROMATOGRAPHIC PEAKS PURITY BY USING HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY WITH DIODE-ARRAY DETECTOR DATA article

On the basis of the analysis of dependence of first ten singular values of spectrogram matrix of indopamide with the impurity of amlodipine, obtained in reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography mode (RP-HPLC) with diode-array detector, the correlation between the value of 5th singular value and mass fraction of impurity in the range from 0.01 to 0.05% was observed. The results were proved by the analysis of simulated spectrograms of indopamide and amlodipine. The disclosed relationship could be useful for the determination of peaks purity in HPLC.
