APPLICATION OF THE POTENTIAL OF GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY HIGH SPEED TIME-OF-FLIGHT MASS SPECTROMETRY SYSTEM IN ANALYSIS OF THE PESTICIDES AND POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYLS BY THE METHODS OF ONE-DIMENSIONAL AND TWO-DIMENSIONAL GAS CHROMATOGRAPHYarticle

Detection by the high-throughput TOF MS gives all of the sensitivity in full mass range needed to identify trace level of pesticides and PCBs while providing the data density needed to define narrow GC peaks and deconvolute overlapping peaks. The instrumental settings were optimized to obtain fast and reliable analytical methods for routine control of purified extracts of different food-stuffs (baby food, pork fat). The results of PCBs and pesticides analyses by both common (GC) and orthogonal two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC GC) are presented.
