THE POLLUTION OF ATMOSPHERE AIR WITH EXHAUST OF AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTIN URBAN AREA - article

The investigations, implemented by the Department of atmosphere air, interior air and soil control of Kiev City Sanitary-epidemiology station (SES) aimed to study background and local pollution of atmosphere air with exhausts of automotive transport and to give hygienic characteristic of pollution dynamics an Kiev automotive roads.

Specialists of the Department of atmosphere air, interior air and soil control of Kiev City SES, staff of Sanitary-hygienic laboratories of District SESs provide with data of analysis of sample, chosen by City and District SESs for analysis at the route posts in the area of influence of 120 city automotive road of Kiev on 12 polluters in two annual periods – warm (March – August) and cold (September – November). Analysis of the dynamics of atmosphere air pollution during 1997–2001 years has been provided. Implemented analysis suggests that number of samples with TLV (treshhold limited values) excess tends to increase. Conclusions, based on the results of the work, are presented in the text of the article.
